University Library is proud to announce that the winner of the 2022 IUPUI Open Education Award is Amy Powell, Executive Director, ePortfolio, at the Division of Undergraduate Education.
Powell has created and deployed a new Canvas course shell for use in First-Year Experience (FYE) courses. The shell is designed to be used by instructors everywhere and can support in-person, online, or hybrid instruction. It has been used in over 150 first-year seminar classes at IUPUI. The shell is comprised of assignments, activities, and guidelines for instructors that Powell has either collected
or developed.
The shell is open and usable by anyone working in Canvas, being promoted through Canvas Commons.
