Historical Form 990-PF Request

The Historical Form 990-PF collection contains the tax forms of private foundations from 1971-1997.  The collection does not include the regular 990, 990-N, or 990-EZ forms filed by public charities or other nonprofit organizations.  If you are not sure which form an organization files, please check Guidestar to verify its 501(c) designation.

There is a $30 fee per requested foundation for filing and redaction, plus a scanning fee of $.50 per page, and all forms are delivered digitally as PDFs.  We no longer honor requests for partial forms. Depending on the size of the request, please allow for several weeks for delivery. Rush service is not available. Response time is dependent upon the availability of archives staff. Staff members cannot undertake extensive research but will, within reasonable limits, provide information from or about the archives holdings. Use the form below to send an email request.
