Katharine joined University Library in 2015 as the business librarian, since that time she has also taken on responsibilities for supporting economics and become the collection assessment librarian. Prior to joining IUPUI she was a business librarian at Tulane University. Librarianship is her second career. Prior to earning her Master in Library and Information Science at the University of Washington she worked for over a decade as an analyst in the private sector in a variety of roles including finance, operations, sales, marketing, and brand management. She also has an MBA from Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her current research interests include information literacy and business information literacy, library and collections assessment, and library/vendor negotiations.
