  • This is the main database resource for research in economics.

  • ABI/INFORM
  • This business database is very heavy in theoretical research that would be useful for students and scholars in economics. Unlike most of the other economics-related databases, this one has a limited number of articles available in full-text format.

  • Business and Company Resource Center
  • Although primarily a business database, it contains information useful for many areas of economics.

  • Business Source Premier
  • A full text business database, covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business.

  • EIU.com (Economist Intelligence Unit)
  • This resource contains news and reports of interest to economists studying international and U.S. economic conditions.

  • Ethnic NewsWatch
  • This resource is an excellent source for articles in any topic with interest to specific ethnic groups. A great source for "alternative" economic information.

  • Food & Agriculture Organization Index
  • Excellent source for land and water development, fisheries, economic and social policy, investment, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, rural development, food standards, and commodities and trade from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

  • Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR)
  • ICPSR is the world's premier social science data archive, housed at the University of Michigan. As a member institution, Indiana University has access to the full range of data, not just the free data available to everyone. To get access, contact the University Library for details.

  • National Trade Data Bank (NTDB)
  • Part of STAT-USA, National Trade Data Bank provides statistics about all aspects of trade. STAT-USA is a great source of statistical information.

  • Public Affairs Information Service
  • PAIS covers a wide body of research in public affairs, much of which is of interest to economists.

  • Social Sciences Citation Index (1987- ) From Web of Science. 
  • SSCI is a resource that allows the user to not only search for authors, subjects, etc; it is designed to search articles cited throughout the literature by other articles. Use this tool to find out who is citing a specific article.
