Dean Leo F. Solt (1921-1994)
Professor Leo Solt (1921-1994) served as Dean of the IU Graduate School from 1978-87, taught 16th-17th century English History at IU-Bloomington for many years, and wrote three books on the Church in early modern England. This collection, which was culled from his private library, illustrates his specific interest in the Cromwellian politics of seventeenth-century England; it includes two pamphlets by John Saltmarsh dating to 1646-47, a 1649 first-edition of The Obstructors of Justice by John Goodwin and a 1680 history of King Edward II.
