Information Literacy is the set of skills needed tofind, retrieve, analyze, and use information effectively.
Mission
The mission of the University Library Information Literacy Program is to support the teaching and learning mission of IUPUI by engaging students in the development and application of skills needed to find, evaluate, and use information that will contribute to their academic success and lifelong learning goals.
Objectives & Goals
GOAL 1: Development of students’ skills, knowledge, and attitudes with regard to finding, evaluating, and using information.
Objectives: GOAL 2: Increased awareness among administrators, faculty, and students of information literacy, its benefits, and its importance to academic success.
Objectives: GOAL 3: Ongoing assessment of the information literacy needs of IUPUI students.
Objectives: GOAL 4: Comprehensive information literacy support across the curriculum using a coordinated and collaborative approach to instruction activities and research consultations.
