Information and Policies for Guest Computer IDs
Guest User Computer ID Policy Effective August 1, 2008
- Users who are unaffiliated with IU may obtain a Guest Computer IDs upon presentation of an IUPUI University Library Borrower's Card. For more information about obtaining a borrower's card, please see http://www.ulib.iupui.edu/libinfo/borrowerscard.
- Guest Computer IDs will be valid ONLY for the day they are issued. You must request a new ID each day that you would like to use a library computer
- Guest Computer ID accounts are only for use on the computers in the University Library.
- Fee for Guest Computer IDs will be $1.00 per day.
- The fee is waived for Guests with a Student/Faculty/Staff ID from another school.
- The fee is waived for Guests who are members of the Indiana University Alumni Association or Purdue University Alumni Association with a current membership card.
All computer users must follow University Library's computer use policies. In addition to following these guidelines, it is the responsibility of the Library Guest ID owner to secure the confidentiality of the Library Guest ID and password. Do not share your Guest ID and password with anyone. The password issued with the Guest ID should be changed immediately for security purposes. All lost or stolen Guest IDs should be reported immediately to the University Library Circulation Desk or (317) 274-0472.
Students, Faculty and Staff of Indiana University should log in to library computers using ther campus network ID and passphrase.
