Below are general examples and guidelines to assist you. These are only guidelines and are not complete. Given the variety of research projects at IUPUI, University Library realizes that dataset metadata may vary greatly from one project to another.

Please note it is IUPUI University Library’s intent to make this information openly and freely available to the public:

  • To further enhance the research, ideas and general scholarship of the academic world in a global context; and
  • To assist grant recipients with the publication requirements of NIH, NSF, and other such funding agencies.

If this material contains sensitive information of a private nature, and if made public may violate privacy regulations such as HIPAA, FERPA, or other similar regulations it is entirely up to the submitter to remove/scrub such information prior to submitting said material to the University Library repository. University Library is not responsible for the content of the submission. That responsibility lies solely with the submitter. If the submission is accepted and posted in the University Library Dataset repository and is later identified as having sensitive information in violation of said privacy regulations, the offending material will be removed from the repository.
